<Kitt Bishop> is sitting out on the porch of the old house, back in her plain white robes and bare feet. She sighs, leaning her head against one of the supports.
°¥ Talwar Khanna ¥° heads out to the old house, emerging from behind some convenient tree perhaps, or again, he just was there. He’d walk up the porch, feet silent though there was no obfuscate involved now. He’d walk over to the railing and sit on it because it was sturdy enough.
<Kitt Bishop> nods to Talwar as she sees him. She smiles, despite the concerned expression. “Thank you for coming.”
Kefira appears a while after, following Talwar – he knew, he also knew that she was trained well; she betrayed herself only with a minimum of sound, But she wasn’t trying to hide from him.
°¥ Talwar Khanna ¥° nods to her in return. “I will always try to come when you call, Kitt.” He’d gesture to Kefira to come on up to the patio. “What is it I can do for you, Kitt?”
<Kitt Bishop> nods to Kefira as well before turning her attention back to Talwar. “Zaluut is… sick? He keeps sleeping so much… only wakes up to feed and then sleeps again like it’s daylight out. I don’t know what is wrong, and am afraid that the fight with that corruption took more out of him that he would admit.”
°¥ Talwar Khanna ¥° is thoughtful and nods. “You are likely right. The corruption was a lot and he was at points dealing with it solo. I am not sure what it does to a Tzimisce of the alternate line, but I know what it did to me when I had to confront it. I am fortunate to be here now, thanks to a lot of rejecting it from my system. I am not sure being the Clan I
am, that it helped or not since we focus quite a bit on the vitae.”
“Is he sleeping where he usually is? Has anything changed?” ::she knew about the Tzimisce clan weakness, but never seen it in action. She looks between them:: “What happened?”
<Kitt Bishop> nods her head slightly. “He’s got plenty of home with him. I can’t help but think him going back might help strengthen him though but… He doesn’t see me as a warrior. He won’t listen to me.”
°¥ Talwar Khanna ¥° “Going back to his homeland? It is quite the trip, amid dangers currently. We still have not finished off the demon who made these monstrosities.”
“It is hard to admit weakness. We learn never to show any, and when we need help, we need to bend not only our pride, but that lesson as well.” ::she comteplates briefly;; Attacking it from a different angle – implorimng him – won’t work?”
°¥ Talwar Khanna ¥° “From a warrior’s point of view, to abandon those he watches over, and it is his duty to do so as a Bishop, in a time of need, would be something he would not seek to do. Zaluut is honorable. I will try to speak to him though to see what he will be willing to do.”
<Kitt Bishop> sighs and nods. “I am just worried about him. So far the spirits he commands are still all under control, but I am not sure how long that will hold.”
°¥ Talwar Khanna ¥° nods. “That is another reason why he will not want to leave. I can try to talk to some of them, but we may need to speak to someone who does it better than me to actually get them to comply if something is wrong with them.”
“Honor,” the word is a sigh from Kefira, but a concept that she clearly understands. “No, he wouldn’t.” She pauses briefly before adding. “Has he been fed Kindred blood? To the point of Final Death is abominable, but it is powerful given in controlled dosages.”
<Kitt Bishop> glances over toward Kefira and nods her head. “He has fed on me the time when he has been awake. But he has been asleep for a few days now.”
“What caused this?” ::Kefira inquires, rubbing her face as she images having to ask the Tremere for help. Zaluut would probably rather die. Bur she couldn’t let him die. He was important to Kitt:: “What drained him so much?”
°¥ Talwar Khanna ¥° “We have been fighting a corrupted version of Tzimisce that has worn him out plenty. He has spent a lot of blood and time trying to thwart them and we dealt with the corrupted entity, but he protected us even with his blood, what he could so we could do that fight. He is an older Kindred, so yes, it may be a consideration that he needs another’s
vitae at this point, but he might need it forever if he goes that route at this point too.”
<Kitt Bishop> looks over at Talwar thoughtfully, then frowns. “I hadn’t really considered that thought. He’s been active a very long time… Is it possible that he is falling into Torpor from age?”
Kefira listens and mulls it over grimly. A lifelong dependency on vitae could well be the result of such sacrifice of himself. There was something else … but she didn’t even know where to begin.
“Kitt … how much do you know about our history?”
°¥ Talwar Khanna ¥° “It could be that he is ready for that torpor nap that elders do from time to time.”
<Kitt Bishop> looks to Kefira. “Not much. Just what Zaluut was able to tell me from when there were more of us, before the Tremere.”
Kefira glances at Talwar and nods. “It could be. But Kindred usually fall into Torpor due to tiredeness with their current life. I do not think he is tired … of course, I may be wrong.” ::she looks at Kitt:: “We used to be able to heal anything short of death itself. ‘How’ has long since been lost … but if we can figure out how to tap into that, perhaps you can cure him.”
°¥ Talwar Khanna ¥° “Maybe he is fighting this thing more deeply than we realized prior.” He was now thoughtful.
<Kitt Bishop> nods her head at Talwar’s statement after looking to kefira. “I have been trying to see but even my healing gifts turn up nothing. I asked talwar to come because I was hoping he might talk to him. We are very close but, I don’t know… his code or something. He won’t talk to me about this.”
“It implies that he knows what is wrong with him, and if he does, the silence is troubling, But any option should be explored.”
°¥ Talwar Khanna ¥° “I will talk to him. He will not be happy about it but he may tell me. Kitt is right. I know why he won’t tell her.”
“Good luck.” She did not know what else to say. She had contingency plans, but none that she believed would succeed.
<Kitt Bishop> nods to them both a bit. “Thank you. I don’t know what else to do.”
°¥ Talwar Khanna ¥° “If it is something serious.. we have you..and Kefira and if need be.. though he will hate it to the high heavens, the Tremere we have spoken with might help.”
<Kitt Bishop> looks down guiltily. “I didn’t want to say that thought had crossed my mind.”
Kefira laughs just a little .. because that was her very last plan, too. “He would hate it. But he would be alive. I thought of it, too.”
°¥ Talwar Khanna ¥° “I am sure for that idea to come to fruition, there will need to be some deals made, but yes, I can’t think of any others in the region who might know as much as the three of you in this regard. It is one thing for them to work together versus the demonic problem. It is another in this situation, but I do not know who else we could trust at all
really who know as much.”
<Kitt Bishop> sighs and nods. “I know. Hopefully it doesn’t come to that. Also, what is wrong with your phone?”
“let us try to avoid it. If it does come to that … let me be the in-between.” ::her instincts still yelled at her to flee the city whenever she thought of the Tremere, but she trusted one of them. “I may be able to pass it off as a personal favor.”
°¥ Talwar Khanna ¥° takes out his phone and checks it over.
Talwar hasn’t received any messages, but come to think of it, he hasn’t gotten any messages in quite some time.
°¥ Talwar Khanna ¥° “I have not received messages..but ..I have not gotten any in some time either, so perhaps you are right and something is wrong.”
“You know how to reach me, should it be needed.” ::she nods towards Talwar, and will offer Kitt a kiss on the cheek, or just a light hug if she prefers::
((I gotta sleep!))
<Kitt Bishop> willingly hugs back and waves to her, still wearing the necklace. “Goodnight, Kefira. Thank you.”
°¥ Talwar Khanna ¥° “Thank you, Kefira.” He’d then turn to Kitt. “So is there anything else going on with him? Anything that stands out so I can talk to him with some assurances about his behavior?”
<Kitt Bishop> looks away for a moment, uneasy. “I… didn’t think about it too much till she said something but…”, she shuffles her bare feet on the porch. “I don’t think he’s been feeding on anything except other vampires. Not since the black cocoon thing.”
°¥ Talwar Khanna ¥° “I am not surprised. I just hope it is not going to be a permanent thing and if it is, we will find a way.”
<Kitt Bishop> nods softly in agreement. “I can understand he doesn’t want to talk about it.”
°¥ Talwar Khanna ¥° nods. “I do too, but he is a friend and if he can be helped, he should be helped.”
<Kitt Bishop> smiles over at Talwar. “That’s why I went looking for you. Even though I know I shouldn’t be there… but he trusts you. I trust you.”
°¥ Talwar Khanna ¥° smirks slightly. Oh so emotional! He failed at being that projective, of course. “I know and thank you for your trust and coming to me with it. How are you doing otherwise?”
<Kitt Bishop> smiles a bit more. “I made a friend in the forest. He’s a shapechanger and he makes weapons. But he is very nice. We’ve talked a few times. He kinda watches over some of the same area that we do.”
°¥ Talwar Khanna ¥° “What sort of shape shifter? I am glad you made a friend. Just be careful.”
<Kitt Bishop> shakes her head softly. “I promised I wouldn’t say… but not a bad one. He’s been killing corrupted things too.”
°¥ Talwar Khanna ¥° nods. “I understand. Does Zaluut know?”
<Kitt Bishop> nods her head softly. “Yeah… pretty sure. I know he can sense him in his territory and he can get pictures from my thoughts.”
°¥ Talwar Khanna ¥° nods. “Okay. Keep an eye out for that other thing out there.”
<Kitt Bishop> tilts her head. “Other… thing?”
<Kitt Bishop> “Oh, the … whatever got away from the Tremere?”
°¥ Talwar Khanna ¥° nods. “It has been remarkably adept at evading us but I’m sure it will show up eventually again.”
<Kitt Bishop> nods and then walks over, hugging Talwar briefly. “Yeah. I am careful, but you know I can also handle myself. I know when to retreat too. Why don’t you come in… and maybe I can wake him?”
°¥ Talwar Khanna ¥° squeezes her shoulder and nods. “Good thing.” He’d nod and then head to the door. “Try.”
